Title: Maintenance Manager

Location: Bethlehem, PA

Reports to: Operations

We have extensive experience in these industries and also bring a much needed personal focus to the hiring process. We are currently seeking a seasoned Maintenance Manager for a privately held rapidly growing food packaging manufacturer at the Company’s new state-of-art production facility in Bethlehem, PA.

General Responsibilities:

• Build, manage and coordinate the daily activities of the Maintenance Department.
• Supervise the department to ensure that the process equipment, buildings, service equipment, and facility are maintained in a safe and reliable condition.
• Develop and implement an effective repair, turnarounds, preventive, predictive and emergency work procedures and protocols.
• Assure modifications or additions to the plant, related to Maintenance activities, be done in accordance with proper engineering, environmental, and safety standards(ASME).

• Assure plant adheres to appropriate safety standards (OSHA, PSM, etc.), Environmental standards, Quality standards, repair and maintenance standards, best practices and codes in compliance to all Company, government and site operational department’s regulations.
• Directly supervise maintenance personnel.
• Provide assistance to the VP of Operations on major projects such as expansion of facilities, acquisition and installation of capital equipment, major repairs and overhauls, plant layout changes, and other related matters to the best economic advantage and schedule.
• Coordinate the activities of outside contractors performing maintenance work.
• Coordinate activities with other departments (such as Operations, Safety, Environmental, Quality Assurance, etc.) to ensure the plant maintains the operational ability to accomplish production volume goals.
• Coordinate and implement Total Quality Management (TQM), Total Preventive
• Management (TPM), Safety Operating Guidelines, etc., to ensure the plant’s compliance and competitiveness in those areas.
• Conduct and participate in group meetings to address personnel issues, shift schedules, work rules, policies, quality problems, cost reduction programs, suggestion programs, safety and environmental issues.
• Participate in forming Plant Maintenance and Project Budgets and be responsible for achieving budgetary cost goals.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 to 15 years of maintenance management experience in 24-hour manufacturing environment.
• BS degree in electronical or mechanical engineering, or related field, and/or equivalent years experience .
• Maintenance of extrusion and thermoforming processing lines required.
• Maintenance of paper cup and flexo-printing lines required.
• Practical applications experience in control systems support and maintenance of PLC or DCS based systems for real time operations.
• Strong organizational and maintenance project management skills, Solid interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
