Maintenance Assistant job at Golden Oaks Village of Stillwater Stillwater, OK, US

Job Description

The Maintenance Assistant will play a crucial role in renovating properties and maintaining the grounds. Responsibilities:

Perform repairs, including painting, wall repair, and fixture changes
Mow, edge, and weed outdoor areas
Comply with health and safety regulations and remove waste from facilities as needed
Manage the routine upkeep of outdoor areas, building exteriors, and parking lots

Requirements:

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Basic working knowledge of general mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire sprinkler, construction and repair
Proven practical skills in areas such as carpentry, decorating, and plumbing
Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Customer service skills
Physically able to stand, walk, reach, pull, push, lift and crouch repeatedly
Knowledge of tools and equipment including cleaning products and chemicals
Knowledge of common maintenance procedures and safety measures
Routine heavy lifting
Knowledge of nursing home regulations is helpful
Ability to work as part of a team
Must be able to pass criminal background check
