We are seeking a seasoned Employee Relations Specialist to join our dynamic HR team in the manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position that plays a crucial role in maintaining a harmonious work environment that fosters productivity, innovation, and growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conflict resolution, internal investigations, and fluency in Spanish. If you are a bilingual professional with a passion for people, rapport-building, and fostering positive workplace relationships, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for:
1. Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues, including conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
2. Providing advice and counsel to managers and employees on a wide range of employee relations matters, including performance management, employee development, and workplace conflicts.
3. Developing, implementing, and overseeing policies and procedures to promote positive employee relations.
4. Providing training and guidance to management and staff on HR policies, conflict resolution, and diversity and inclusion.
5. Collaborating with legal and other HR teams to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
6. Acting as a liaison between employees and management to address inquiries and resolve work-related issues.
7. Maintaining in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
8. Facilitating communication among employees and management, mediating disputes, and guiding conflict resolution.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Employee Relations Specialist position should possess the following:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR role with a focus on employee relations, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in conflict resolution and conducting internal investigations.
3. Fluency in Spanish and English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
4. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
6. In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
7. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions.
8. Ability to handle sensitive matters with tact, discretion, and strict confidentiality.
9. Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
10. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
