Patient information seminars for people interested in learning more about laparoscopic (minimally invasive) obesity surgery will be held on the following dates:

The information seminars will start at 6 PM and last until approximately 6:50 PM.  The Bariatric Support Group follows at 7 PM.  All are welcome. 

Additional Information Sessions

In an effort to be more convenient to prospective patients, we are holding seminars in alternative locations off of the main AGMC campus.  All sessions start at 6 p.m.

Support groups are held monthly immediately following the Bariatric Information Seminars and start at 7 PM.  All are welcome to attend.  Programs are held on relevant topics monthly.  The support group schedule is shown below.

Refreshments will be provided for the Information Seminars and Support Groups.

We prefer that you register to attend a seminar or support group so that we may have adequate refreshments and seating arranged.  You may register by calling the Akron General Need-a-Physician line at (330) 344-2462.

Both the patient information seminar and the bariatric support group are held in the Conference Center Auditorium located at Akron General Medical Center,  400 Wabash Avenue, Akron, Ohio  44307.
